You choose how you show up inside of your 1920 x 1080 sized video feed on Zoom.

Taking complete ownership of how you show up will depend upon your willingness to try new things and invest in your future. At some point, you are going to get tired of your left ear going missing when using the Zoom virtual background feature. And at some point, you are going to get tired of paying money to help you produce content you can easily create with today’s tools.

This 1920 x 1080 rectangle starts with pixels. You sacrifice some of that space when you don’t use virtual camera software. I bet you haven’t noticed this before because so many people still are not maximizing their video feed space potential and consider bookcases in the background the norm.

Let me explain:

When you switch to screen share mode in Zoom, your webcam size decreases, and the size of your visual decreases. Look at how much black screen there is inside of the Zoom application. If we were looking to optimize the highest and best use of the Zoom land we are given, we need to add ourselves on top of whatever we display on the screen next.
