On June 6th I depart for Brazil for a 3 city 10 day speaking tour called Corretor Global in the country of Brazil where I have many objectives and responsibilities (I will find time to play too). This trip is one of many of my global initiatives to help real estate professionals make sense of the latest technology and connect global leaders with one another to promote innovative business practices online.
“Corretor Global” in Portuguese means “Global Agent” in English, represents the name of the 3 city tour to promote social media communication and leadership in Brazil. Check out the event schedule here.
We arrive in Brasilia, the nation’s capital of Brasil for the Global Leadership Forum on June 8th and June 9th in Brasilia. We will be welcomed by our friends at COFECI (the government entity who supervises how real estate is transaction in Brazil) and Redimob (the premier social network for real estate professionals in Brazil). This meeting is open to the major real estate organizations, brokers, association representatives in Brazil and other countries in South America. This is kind of like attending the Leadership Summit for NAR but all in Portuguese. I bought the Portuguese version of Rosetta Stone in order to be able to understand and speak the language. I admit it is similar to Spanish but the pronunciation is much harder to adapt.

Some of my friends from the states are coming including Aida Turbow, Franscisco Angulo, Jennifer Wiziarde, Ian Phipps, and Ron Phipps to participate in the Global Leadership Forum. Aida Turbow says, “Brazil is high on the radar at the National Association of REALTORS® as a partner to share best practices on real estate licensing, political advocacy, and development of future global leaders.”
At the 2011 Midyear meetings I had the privilege of meeting Alessandro Stupp, a participant in the 2011 National Association of REALTORS® Leadership academy who is one of their bright and successful superstars. He is very excited about the National Association of REALTORS® involvement in Brazil and hopes to create a similar real estate business models in Brazil. Also, had the honor of meeting Francisco Pesserl who represents COFECI is overseeing the global initiatives in Brazil.
On June 11th Aida and I will depart Brasilia for Natal which is on the northeast coast of Brazil for an event aimed at educating real estate professionals about social media, benefits of the NAR International membership, and why the Redimob platform is crucial for Brazil agents to use in their business. Our event is on the 14th in Natal and leave afterwards for a similar event in Sao Paolo not to be held until June 16th.
What is Redimob?
Are you curious about the real estate market in Brazil?
All resources specific to the event can be found at http://DougDevitre.com/Redimob
Redimob of Brazil is doing an exceptional job with their social media activities. In a future post I will compare the differences between NAR and Redimob and leave it up to you to decide which is best.
