I subscribe to three Codes of Ethics and Conduct:

Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®

Code of Ethics of the National Speakers Association

Code of Ethics for personal relationship conduct

I violated the 3rd.

I joined Match.com back in February 2010 met my girlfriend Beth in March 2010 and let’s just say things are going really well.  If you remember my blog post 10 Reasons Why Match.com is Just Like Selling Homes Online I talked about the similarities in online marketing for properties and yourself.

Sold in 30 days in a tough market is hopefully a reflection on my online marketing skills.

Do you think I should add Match best practices to my consulting services?

According to Article 12 of the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics…

According to the Code of Ethics for personal relationship conduct…

Once someone has fully committed self in a relationship they must remove themselves from ALL online dating services so that the person does not induce others that the person is still available.

Today I have removed myself from Match.com but still have a professional standards hearing with Beth next week to decide what/if any reprimand is in order.

Do you think I am guilty?

If so what should be my punishment?

Here are some pictures from our trip to Chicago last month.

For more than a decade he has been setting trends with how organizations engage customers with social media, video marketing, and custom-built software applications. Doug’s book Screen to Screen Selling published by McGraw Hill pioneered the way sales professionals sold homes without being physically present before the COVID-19 pandemic. He is one of a select few who have earned the Certified Speaking Professional Designation from the National Speakers Association and has experience as a REALTOR.
